2020 will be our 29th year serving the local community with Art Enrichment Camps. Camps will occur in our brand new location at 77 Broadway Rocky Point (Next to Broadway Market). We are pleased to announce that parents will now have the option of half day and full day camps! Morning camps meet from 9am-12pm. Afternoon camps meet from 12:15PM-3:15PM. To register for full day camp, please register for both the AM and PM session and they will automatically be regisered for full day.
Camps run weekly Tuesday-Friday. Sign up for as many or as few weeks as you desire! All camps are taught by a NYS Certified At Teacher, plus a teachers assistant. Morning camps feature a different drawing, painting or mixed media topic each week, and afternoon camps feature ceramics topics. If the student stays full day, he/she will begin in the drawing/painting classroom. Lunch time is at 11:45 (Please pack a bagged lunch, non microwavable and peanut free.) It weather permits, students will eat lunch in our fenced off outdoor courtyard with staff supervision. At 12:15, students will be brought into the ceramics classroom next door and work there until pick up at 3:15PM. Please send several peanut free snacks as we take a snack break in the morning and afternoon camp. Parents will need to provide ID at pickup time. Pizza lunch is provided to all students every Friday!
A $50 fee will be charged for any student who withdraws from a camp less than two weeks prior to the start.
Please arrive on time for pick up and no sooner than 10 minutes prior to the start of camp
Camp days cannot be made up if missed
Camp days cannot be transferred to another individual.

Tuesday June 30th- Friday July 3rd
"Sea Creature Creations Camp"
In this camp, students will learn a variety of mixed media and sculpture techniques to create their own sea creatures. Projects are 100% guided with lots of room for personal artistic expression. Projects will include a papier-mâché fish, wind chimes, paintings intertwined with storybooks and so much more!
"Sea Themed Ceramics Camp"
Students will learn hand building techniques in coil, slab and pinching to create guided projects based on the sea. Projects will include a coil starfish bowl, a seaweed vase, hand built starfish, sea turtle and more! Finished projects will be packaged and available for pick up about a week after the camp ends. (Parent's will receive a call for pick up.)
Tuesday July 7-10
"Nature Crafts Camp"
Students will create crafts using items found in nature. Projects will include a dreamcatcher, flower pot, pinecone critters, painted rocks, painted wood slices and so much more. Storybooks will be intertwined with all projects
"Zen Ceramics Camp"
Students will use Earthenware clay to create a variety of hand built projects to promote peace. Projects will include a spirit animal, Underglazed leaf painted plates, a mandala plate, bonsai planter, a flower vase and more! Finished projects will be packaged and available for pick up about a week after the camp ends. (Parent's will receive a call for pick up.)
Tuesday July 14th-17th
Students will learn drawing and sketching techniques in this camp using a variety of mediums such as vine charcoal, colored pencils, graphite pencils and markers. Students will learn how to draw from still life, use a mirror to create a self portrait, and use photographs to recreate a likeness. If weather permits, we may use our fenced in courtyard to draw the trees. Students will learn about shading, line and composition. A well rounded camp for the young artist in your life!
"Nature as Inspiration Ceramics Camp"
Students will explore hand building techniques using clay. Students will create a nature inspired planter using tree bark as inspiration, also a ceramic pinecone, a birdhouse and much more!
Finished projects will be packaged and available for pick up about a week after the camp ends. (Parent's will receive a call for pick up.)
Tuesday July 21st-Friday July 24th
"Children's Comic Illustration Camp"
Students will learn to draw their favorite cartoon characters and even create their own! Students will learn about inking, and storyboarding, working toward creating their own mini comic strips!
"Food for Thought Ceramics Camp"
Students will sculpt their favorite foods out of clay! Pies, doughnuts, cupcakes, pizza, french fries, hot dogs and ice cream cones will be on the menu! students will use underglazes and acrylic paints to make their yummy treats even more delectable! Finished projects will be packaged and available for pick up about a week after the camp ends. (Parent's will receive a call for pick up.)
Tuesday July 28th- Friday July 31st
"Children's Beginner Painting Techniques Camp"
Students will explore techniques using tempera, watercolor and acrylic paints with different guided projects every day. Story books will be incorporated into each project, tying in with a theme.
"Sgraffito Fun Ceramics Camp"
Sgraffito is a technique using underglazes on clay and scraping away to create pictures, patterns and designs. Students will explore sgraffito techniques on hand built wares created throughout the week. Finished projects will be packaged and available for pick up about a week after the camp ends. (Parent's will receive a call for pick up.)
Tuesday August 4th-Friday August 7th
"Story Time Art Camp"
Students will create step by step guided mixed media projects based on Story Books that are read in the beginning of each class. Students will explore techniques in collage, painting, drawing, pattern rubbing and more using paints, pastels, colored pencil, markers and craft supplies.
"Mug and Vessel Making Ceramics Camp"
Students will learn hand building techniques using clay. Students will explore techniques in coil rolling, slab, under glazing and more! Finished projects will be packaged and available for pick up about a week after the camp ends. (Parent's will receive a call for pick up.)
Tuesday August 11- Friday August 14th
"Animal Portraits Camp"
Students will work with a variety of drawing and painting techniques to make their own unique animal portraits. Skills in shading, color mixing, creating texture will be emphasized at students learn how to make a likeness of the photographs they choose. We have plenty of stock photos on hand to use for inspiration, but If you have a pet, please bring in a picture!

Students will create clay sculptures of their favorite animals throughout the week. Hand building Techniques such as coil, slab, scoring, slipping and pinching will be covered as students create their own inspired projects! Finished projects will be packaged and available for pick up about a week after the camp ends. (Parent's will receive a call for pick up.)
Tuesday August 18th-21st
"Pinterest Inspired Crafts Camp"
Students will make a variety of projects inspired by Pinterest posts. Projects will be guided step by step and will include techniques in found object sculpture and design. Hand sewing techniques will be covered, as well as jewelry making and polymer clay. A ton of fun for the young crafter in your house!
"Mini Living Environments Ceramics Camp"
Students will create their own gnome or fairy family and make an assortment of living spaces for them throughout the week! underglazing techniques will be covered to create vibrant colorful tiny dwellings! Finished projects will be packaged and available for pick up about a week after the camp ends. (Parent's will receive a call for pick up.)
Tuesday August 25th-Friday August 28th
"Children's Mixed Media Art Camp"
Students will learn about a few different famous artists every day and create guided projects inspired by the artist. Story books about the featured artist will be incorporated into every project. Students will dabble with techniques in drawing, painting and collage using an assortment of materials.
"Making Impressions Ceramics Camp"
Students will explore our huge assortment of stamps and pattern makers to incorporate within their hand built plates, boxes mugs and platters. Finished projects will be packaged and available for pick up about a week after the camp ends. (Parent's will receive a call for pick up.)
